Our 10:30 Worship Service began with our pianist Catalin Dima playing various beautiful hymns. The Congregation took time to praise his talent and acknowledge his beautiful piano concert from Saturday night at Lakeway. Look for the special tribute to Catalin in the Piano Concert featuring Catalin Dima, Lakeway UMC's Pianist 10/4/2025.
Dr. Frank Alegria led the service with a welcome to all members, regular attenders, and visitors. He introduced our Interim Choir Director, Rachel Tillman to the Congregation. The altar flowers were given to the Honor and Glory of God and in Celebration of Kayce Crider’s 16th Birthday and in honor of all October Birthdays. Given by Kayce’s Grandmother, Sharon Jaresh. Happy Birthday Kayce!
Pastor Frank reminded attendees of his Bible Study Class called We Believe – The Nicene Creed which will begin on Thursday, October 9th from 10:00 – 11:15am. There is a participant book, a video, and an added bonus of an article from Good News Magazine. Email Pastor Frank if interested so a book can be ordered for you OR use the QR code on the back of the worship bulletin to sign up. Very easy process. Place your camera on the QR code. When the yellow bar flashes across, click on it and you should be given the opportunity to sign up.
A Call to Worship, an Affirmation of Faith, and The Apostles’ Creed was recited. Prayer Concerns and Joys were heard, our pianist Catalin Dima played music for the Choir with Rachel Tillman leading during the offering, and a Pastoral Prayers ending with The Lord’s Prayer.
The Morning Message came from the scripture of 2Timothy 1:1-14 and the message was on A Holy Calling. Two Hymns were sung “Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore” and “How Great Thou Art”. The Service ended with Sacrament of Holy Communion and attendees given the opportunity to pick up a card to send to a college student or to reach out to shut-ins who are not able to be in the service today. The Attendees joined hands and listened to the benediction before the end of the Service.
Lakeway UMC welcomes anyone looking for a church home to come visit. We love visitors and meeting new people.
