Our 10:30 Worship Service began with our pianist Paula Ridenour playing various beautiful hymns.
Dadie Condron served as our designated host in Pastor Frank’s absence and welcomed all members, regular attenders, and visitors. The altar flowers were given to the Honor and Glory of God and in Celebration of the Birth of their second Grandson Robert Wade born on October 9th to their daughter Kristina. Given by Bob and Debbie Blackwell.
Attendees were reminded next Sunday immediately following the Worship Service, the Hanging of the Greens will take place. Many hands make the work light. Pizza will be ordered.
Attendees were also reminded that next Sunday is the final day of the Resale Barn Food Drive. There have been tables filled with donated food and folks are encouraged to bring the food to the altar and leave it there, and it will be delivered to the Resale Barn. If you would prefer to give a monetary donation, label your check in notes – Resale Barn Food Drive. Items needed are listed below:

A Call to Worship, an Affirmation of Faith, and The Apostles’ Creed was recited. Prayer Concerns and Joys were heard, our guest pianist Paula Ridenour played music during the offering, and a Pastoral Prayer ending with The Lord’s Prayer.
Linda Lou Wade led the Children’s Moment with a lesson on “Sharing”.
Dadie Condron introduced Reverend Miles Trumble to the Congregation in Pastor Frank’s absence. The Morning Message came from the scripture of 2Thessalonians 3:6-13 and the message was on Retirement? What is That? Two Hymns were sung “Morning Has Broken” and “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name”. The Attendees joined hands and attendees were to take the love and peace of Christ with you, and the holding of hand signifies we can’t do this world by ourselves, and we need each other before the end of the Service.
Lakeway UMC welcomes anyone looking for a church home to come visit. We love visitors and meeting new people.
