Reverend Frank Alegria began his duties at Lakeway UMC on July 1, 2020. He previously served as Senior Pastor at First United Methodist Church in Duncanville for seven years and has also served churches in Houston, Beaumont, and Brazoria areas. In addition, his leadership roles include two years as District Superintendent for the North Central District of the North Texas Conference.
Reverend Alegria earned a Bachelor of Science from Stephen F. Austin University, a Master of Divinity degree from Perkins School of Theology, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Drew University. His resume includes many significant leadership roles that demonstrate his love of ministry and his commitment to God.
Reverend Alegria is married to his lovely wife, Edna for 41 years. She is a retired RN with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. The couple has three adult children; a daughter, Paula, and two sons, Frankie and Stephen and we can not forget the love of their furry family too. Frank and Edna reside in Pottsboro after spending many years in metropolitan areas.
I enjoy cooking BBQ, woodworking, calligraphy, horticulture, and seeing what is the possibility of a sustainable community garden.
I enjoy watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. I support our local high school teams.
