Our 10:30 Worship Service began with our pianist Catalin Dima playing various beautiful hymns.
Dr. Frank Alegria led the service with a welcome to all members, regular attenders, and visitors. The altar flowers were given to the Honor and Glory of God and to Celebrate the 67th Wedding Anniversary of Bob and Nancy Taylor. Wishing you many more years of good health, happiness, and worshipping together at Lakeway UMC.
A Call to Worship, an Affirmation of Faith, and The Apostles’ Creed was recited. Prayer Concerns and Joys were heard, our pianist Catalin Dima played music during the offering and a Pastoral Prayer ending with The Lord’s Prayer.
The Morning Message came from the scripture of Matthew 3:13-17, and the message was on Baptism of Jesus. Two Hymns were sung “When Jesus Came to Jordan” and “Have Thine Own Way, Lord”. Pastor Frank compared the parallels in the four gospels of Baptism and attendees were given the opportunity to come forward at the end of the service and remember their baptism in the Congregational Reaffirmation of Baptismal Covenant. The close of the service ended with attendees joining hands and Pastor Frank asked everyone to take the love and peace of Christ with you, and the holding of hand signifies we can’t do this world by ourselves and wished everyone the love and peace of Christ be with all, and then the Service ended.
Lakeway UMC welcomes anyone looking for a church home to come visit. We love visitors and meeting new people.
