Our 10:30 Worship Service began with our pianist Catalin Dima playing various beautiful hymns.
Dr. Frank Alegria led the service with a welcome to all members, regular attenders, and visitors. The altar flowers were given to the Honor and Glory of God and wishing Casey Townsend a wonderful birthday this past week on her 14th birthday. Happy Birthday Casey. Given by Terri Townsend.
The Third Advent Candle – The Candle of Joy was lit by Mary Louise Frith and the passage explaining the significance of this candle was read by Robert Frith.
Pastor Frank again encouraged everyone interested in Christmas Caroling to be sure to come. He said it is so fulfilling to sing the songs and watch people light up as they hear the music. The schedule for the week of December 15th – 18th is listed below. You don’t have to be a member of the choir or the church. If you just like to sing Christmas carols, you are encouraged to come join this ministry.
There will be two Christmas Eve services. One at 4:00pm and the second at 6:00pm. Bring your family and friends for this beautiful blend of music, candlelight, Holy Communion and fellowship. Everyone is invited.

Greta Vitko and Don Landon, on behalf of the Congregation, took a moment to recognize Pastor Frank, Catalin Dima our Pianist, and Terri Townsend our Media Manager for their love and devotion in everything they do for Lakeway UMC. We are so blessed to have all of you making our service run smoothly and all the love put into it each week.
A Call to Worship, an Affirmation of Faith, and The Apostles’ Creed was recited. Prayer Concerns and Joys were heard, our pianist Catalin Dima played music during the offering, and a Pastoral Prayer ending with The Lord’s Prayer.
The Morning Message came from the scripture of Matthew 11:2-11 and the message was on Messengers from John the Baptist. Two Hymns were sung “Angels from the Realms of Glory” and “The First Noel”. The close of the service ended with attendees joining hands and attendees were to take the love and peace of Christ with you, and the holding of hand signifies we can’t do this world by ourselves, and we need each other all the time and everywhere, and then the Service ended.
Lakeway UMC welcomes anyone looking for a church home to come visit. We love visitors and meeting new people.
