Our 10:30 Worship Service began with our pianist Catalin Dima playing various beautiful hymns.

Dr. Frank Alegria led the service with a welcome to all members, regular attenders, and visitors.  The altar flowers were given to the Honor and Glory of God and in loving remembrance of Melanie’s father Lowell Fisher and Ken’s mother Betty Kelley and were given by Ken and Melanie Kelley.  These flowers were a beautiful reminder of the precious memories of Melanie’s father and Ken’s mother.

Bob Blalock visited with the Congregation concerning the updating and launching of Lakeway UMC’s website.  It has been five years since it was updated and members, regular attenders and visitors were encouraged to look at the new site and offer any suggestions.  In addition, everyone was encouraged to open Events on the website and scroll to the bottom of the page.  There you can register for a Newsletter which will send you email updates if there are any activities, changes, or closures of events at Lakeway.

A Call to Worship, an Affirmation of Faith, and Apostles’ Creed were recited.  Prayer Concerns and Joys were heard, the Choir sang during the offering and a Pastoral Prayers ending with The Lord’s Prayer.  Linda Lou Wade led the Children’s Moment with an uplifting story entitled “Who Did God Put Us With?”

The Morning Message came from the scripture of Luke 15:1-10 and the message was on Lost.  Two Hymns were sung “He Leadeth Me: O Blessed Thought” and “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms”.  Attendees joined hands and were encouraged to keep their faith and be good disciples.
