Sunday Worship Review from September 7, 2025
Our 10:30 Worship Service began with our pianist Catalin Dima playing various beautiful hymns.
Dr. Frank Alegria led the service with a welcome to all members, regular attenders, and visitors. The altar flowers were given to the Honor and Glory of God and in loving remembrance of what would be Mac McGowan’s 94th birthday September 12th. The sanctuary was also adorned with two tropical, lush floral arrangements left from the Family of Bob Alexander from his Celebration of Life this past Saturday. These flowers were a beautiful reminder of Mac and Bob who left behind precious memories.
A Call to Worship, an Affirmation of Faith, and Apostles’ Creed were recited. Prayer Concerns and Joys were heard, the Choir sang during the offering and a Pastoral Prayer ending with The Lord’s Prayer.
The Morning Message came from the scripture of Luke 14:25-33 and the message was on Everything Has a Price. Two Hymns were sung “You Satisfy the Hungry Heart” and “Are Ye Able”. The Service ended with Sacrament of Holy Communion and attendees were given the opportunity to pick up a card to send to a college student or a shut in to reach out to those who are not able to be in the service today. The Service ended with a new member joining Lakeway. A Big Welcome to Rosemary. We are so happy you have joined our congregation and have chosen Lakeway as your church home.
