Our 10:30 Worship Service began with our pianist Catalin Dima playing various beautiful hymns. (pictured above)

Dr. Frank Alegria led the service with a welcome to all members, regular attenders, and visitors.

Flowers for the service (pictured above) were given by Don and Audrey Oxford to celebrate their 48th Wedding Anniversary.  Congratulations!!  Wishing you many more years of good health and happiness.

Pastor Frank announced the mission project for Lakeway for the second half of August, starting with Communion Sunday next week, is to collect Disinfecting Wipes for Pottsboro Elementary 2025-2026 school year.  Anyone wishing to participate in this mission to help Pottsboro Schools 130+ classrooms should bring them next Sunday and place them on the table at the altar as it will be the Communion offering. (pictured above)  This drive will continue until the end of August.  If you would rather donate money to help purchase these items, please make out your check to Lakeway UMC and in the notes: Sanitizing Wipes.

A Call to Worship was recited.  Prayer Concerns and Joys were shared, and the Morning Message came from the Scripture of Luke 12:32-40 titled "Prioritizing & Preparations".  Two hymns were sung "There's Within My Heart a Melody" and "Savior, Like a Shepherd Lead Us".  The Service ended with attendees holding hands, a send off to take the teachings of Jesus into the world, and share it with friends and neighbors.  Attendees were reminded we cannot do life alone, and we need each other.
