Sunday Worship Review – March 5, 2026

Our 10:30 Worship Service began with our pianist Catalin Dima playing various beautiful hymns.

Dr. Frank Alegria led the service with a welcome to all members, regular attenders, and visitors. The  altar flowers were given to the Honor and Glory of God and in Celebration of all the folks with March Birthdays and Wedding Anniversaries.

Pastor Frank took a moment in the morning worship service to ask for prayers for our Nation and Iran with a hope for a quick resolution and/or ceasefire.  In addition, Pastor Frank took time to introduce Rachel Sweeden, our new Choir Director.

A Call to Worship, an Affirmation of Faith, and The Apostles’ Creed was recited.  Prayer Concerns and Joys were heard, our pianist Catalin Dima played music during the offering and a Pastoral Prayer ending with The Lord’s Prayer.

Children’s Moment was held with Linda Lou Wade giving a lesson on “Love, Kindness and Acceptance”.

The Morning Message came from the scripture of John 3:1-17, and the message was on “Nicodemus Visits Jesus”.  Two Hymns were sung “This Is a Day of New Beginnings” and “Softly and Tenderly”.  The Sacrament of Holy Communion was shared, and Pastor Frank sang a beautiful solo.   The close of the service ended with attendees joining hands and Pastor Frank asked everyone to hold hands to signify we need each other, respect each other’s opinions and called for unity and a hope the divisiveness in the country can end and we can come together as a country and the service ended.

Lakeway UMC welcomes anyone looking for a church home to come visit.  We love visitors and meeting new people.
