Our 10:30 Worship Service began with our pianist Catalin Dima playing various beautiful hymns.
Dr. Frank Alegria led the service with a welcome to all members, regular attenders, and visitors. The altar flowers were given to the Honor and Glory of God and in Loving Memory of his Mother, Ann – Given by Ronny Ray and in Loving Memory of her Sister Nomie – Given by Sharon Jaresh.
Pastor Frank announced that in partnership with the Pottsboro Ministerial Alliance, a food can drive would be held with the people being asked to set a goal of donating 40 cans of food if you are able. These donations are to be brought to the altar and eventually donated to the Resale Barn.
Pastor Frank took a moment in the morning worship service to offer a blessing to these quilts and complimented the Busy Bee Quilters on their fine work. The quilts will be donated to patients and children in local hospitals and Family Promise families. The group wanted the Congregation, or anyone in the Community, to know they are invited to attend even if they have never quilted before. They would love to share their gift.

Children’s Moment was held with Linda Lou Wade giving a lesson the day after Valentine’s Day titled “Love”.
The Morning Message came from the scripture of Matthew 17:1-9, and the message was on The Transfiguration. Two Hymns were sung “Blest Be The Tie That Binds” and “Hymn of Promise”. The Sacrament of Holy Communion was shared and cards were passed out so members could send words of encouragement to shut-ins and college students. The close of the service ended with attendees joining hands, and Pastor Frank asked everyone to hold hands to signify we can’t do this life by ourselves and wished everyone the peace of Christ and the Service ended.
