Our 10:30 Worship Service began with our pianist Catalin Dima playing various beautiful hymns.
Dr. Frank Alegria led the service with a welcome to all members, regular attenders, and visitors. The altar flowers were given to the Honor and Glory of God and in Celebration of Randy and Shelley Minnis’ 54th Wedding Anniversary. Wishing you both many more years of Good Health, Happiness, and Life Together Worshipping at Lakeway.
Pastor Frank announced the wedding of Felicia McAnaney and Ron Poe took place this past Saturday, December 27th at 3:00pm in the Lakeway UMC Sanctuary. A Big Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Ron Poe as they begin their new life together.
It was also announced that in celebration of the New Year, the church office will close on Wednesday, December 31 at noon and will not reopen until Monday, January 5 at 9:00am. Linda Lou Wade eloquently presented A Big Kid’s Children’s Moment with the topic “Celebrating the Differences in God’s Children”.
A Call to Worship, an Affirmation of Faith, and The Apostles’ Creed was recited. Prayer Concerns and Joys were heard, our pianist Catalin Dima played music during the offering and a Pastoral Prayer ending with The Lord’s Prayer.
The Morning Message came from the scripture of John 1:1-14 and the message was on The Word Became Flesh. Two Hymns were sung “What Child Is This” and “Joy To The World”. The close of the service ended with attendees joining hands and Pastor Frank asked everyone to take the love and peace of Christ with you, and the holding of hand signifies we can’t do this world by ourselves, and we need each other all the time and everywhere, and then the Service ended.
